On my way out to summer in Butte, MT I too two days to do little stretch bike packing on the fabled Maah Daah Hey Trail in western North Dakota. The trail was a little sticky from some passing showers, and progress was slow and sticky but the North Dakota Badlands are stunning, and beautifully green in late spring. This particular location was on an overlook above Wannagan Campground - after shooting the photo I was itching to get to Butte to paint it up (along with a few others I’m hoping to get to).
